Welcome to RESUS

Following an exceptional 10 year period and seven successful events ‘RESUS’ the resuscitation conference and skills showcase will transfer to a dormant mode with immediate effect. With your help over this time period ‘RESUS’ grew from the hectic early years to the largest and most diverse emergency care conference on the island of Ireland.

The ethos of RESUS has always been to incorporate interest at all levels of the care spectrum and provide innovative, theoretical, practical and enlightening experiences to all involved.

As an organizing committee we have gone to great lengths to attract global speakers from the four corners of the world, leaders in medicine, nursing and pre hospital care all visited the Mid West with a VIP list including Government Ministers, Practice Leaders, and Resuscitation Council Members from all continents.

As innovation is a core value of the organizing committee we feel for the moment we have exhausted the standard conference formats and to continue in our current modality would require us to become just another conference….

We will therefore defer ‘RESUS’ to an induced coma, regain our strength, develop new thoughts and delivery methods and who knows what the future may hold.

From all those involved in the ‘RESUS’ conference, past, present and future we would like to take the opportunity to thank every single person who attended, every speaker who presented and every trade organization who helped with sponsorship via the exhibition. We would also like to acknowledge the fiscal support of our platinum industry sponsors along with the ever present Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council without whom ‘RESUS’ would never have taken its first breath.

In closing, the organizing committee would like to reiterate our thanks to everyone who joined us over the years and we look forward to meeting you again in future reincarnations of ‘RESUS’.

Finally we would like to dedicate the success of the ‘RESUS’ conference to our recently departed colleague and staunch supporter Dr. Geoff King R.I.P.
